Brands We Trust
We’ve spent hundreds of days on the backcountry and have tested out dozens of brands. In the backcountry, we are at the mercy of our gear. If something fails, it can turn disastrous real quick. Insuring our gear is up to the task is of the utmost importance. Below you’ll find the brands we use and trust, in the backcountry.
Starting off with some of the basics, but certainly some of the more necessary pieces of gear, we have gloves, splitboard, sunglasses / goggles, and satellite phone.
Give’r Gloves
Keeping your hands warm in the backcountry is imperative. When your hands get cold, even the most basic of tasks become more difficult. The 4 Season Gloves (pictured above) are great for keeping your hands warm, even on the coldest of days.
Cardiff Splitboards
Backcountry conditions are often quite variable so its important to have a board that can handle anything and everything. The Cardiff Goat is a great daily driver and one you’ll feel comfortable on hard pack and powder.
Shady Rays Eyewear
On the uphill and downhill, you’ll want eyewear that not only protects your eyes but allows you to see all the finer details of the terrain. With plenty of styles to choose from, interchangeable lenses, and the best protection program in the industry, you’ll be pleased with Shady Rays.
Find Me Spot – Satellite Phone
Emergency response plan is a critical component to planning your backcountry adventures. This satellite phone allows you to send text messages for check-ins, a tracking feature where people can follow your progress, and an SOS button that will get local resources headed your way if there is an emergency.
