Description
Our premier overnight trip through clear, swift, and rapid filled water is on the Gunnison River, through the Gunnison Gorge National Conservation Area. This remote canyon is difficult to access and provides opportunities for experienced anglers to catch world class trout in a true wilderness setting.
Trip starts at out riverside lodge, where a continental breakfast will be served. After breakfast, we load up and drive into the Chukkar Trailhead (90 mins drive or so). Upon arrival at the trailhead, there’s a 1.1 mile hike down to the river.
All our boats will be at the river waiting for us. All of your personal gear needed for the trip will need to be hiked down.
Once at the river, we rig boats and start our float!
Don’t hesitate to reach out with questions / concerns!
This trip is run in cooperation with our partners: Black Canyon Anglers

Nick was a great guide for both fishing and rafting. He knew the gorge and all of the rapids like the back of his hand and we locked on to some good flies towards the beginning of the day so there wasn’t much of a need to switch things around. Very personable and knowledgeable. Couldn’t recommend enough!

Thanks Connor! It was a pleasure having you in the boat. Hope we can do it again soon!
