The Fishery
Texas is known for its endless shallow water flats that are abundant with red fish, black drum, speckled trout, and flounder. Our primary objective is stalking redfish in shallow water. Throwing a fly at a tailing redfish is an experience in and of itself.
Where?
Galveston Bay Complex
About an hour from Houston, the Galveston Bay complex offers a ton of water to pursue fish. We fish West Bay and East Bay and utilize the various marina’s around to access the abundance of water in the area.
When?
October until Christmas
Fall in Texas is a special time. Big bull reds come into the shallow marshes before and after spawning. The cooler weather perks the fish up and they’re looking to eat to prepare for winter.
How?
We utilize shallow running Sabine Skiff to access marshy flats. We quietly pole the boat looking for signs of fish. We utilize fly and light tackle fishing and catch and release practices.
